Forward Alex Falconer and defenseman Austin Hingtgen come into Wichita Falls primed for a successful first season in the North American Hockey League.
A native of Kohler, Wisc., Falconer spent the last four seasons at Shattuck St. Mary’s prep school in Faribault, Minn. Last season, the winger notched 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 46 games to help lead the Sabres to a national championship.
Falconer played for Wildcats Head Coach John LaFontaine during his time at Shattuck, posting a 27-43-70 line in 60 games played under LaFontaine for the Sabres’ Bantam team during the 2010-11 season.
Hingtgen spent the past two seasons skating for Lake Forest Academy in the Midwest Prep Hockey League. Last year, he registered 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 total points to lead all Lake Forest defensemen in scoring.
A native of Williston, ND, Hingtgen is one of two defenseman to tender with the Wildcats for the 2014-15 campaign.
The Wildcats will drop the puck on the 2014-15 campaign when they host the Odessa Jackalopes on Sept. 13 at the Kay Yeager Coliseum. All tickets for that contest are free, and can be obtained by visiting the Wildcats offices.
