Player Profile: David Zevnik

One of eight veterans returning to the Wichita Falls Wildcats in 2014-15, goaltender David Zevnik is set to build on a solid freshman campaign in his second season with the Wildcats.

Zevnik appeared in 40 games for Wichita Falls last season, compiling a 19-3-2 record, 2.46 goals against average and a save percentage of .905. His best stretch of the season saw him win seven of eight starts between Nov. 27 and Dec. 21, coinciding with the Wildcats’ rise to the top of the division standings prior to the holiday break.

The Lakeville, Minn.-native registered six shootout victories in 2013-14, tying him for the league lead in that category, and also represented Wichita Falls at the annual North American Hockey League Top Prospect Tournament in Troy, Mich.

The Wildcats will drop the puck on the 2014-15 campaign when they host the Odessa Jackalopes on Sept. 13 at the Kay Yeager Coliseum. All tickets for that contest are free, and can be obtained by visiting the Wildcats offices.

Single-game and season tickets for the 2014-15 season are on sale now. Call the Wildcats office at (940) 716-5587 for details, or visit www.wfwildcatshockey.com for seating and pricing information.
