The Jersey Shore Wildcats remain undefeated through 16 games so far this season and sit firmly at the helm of the NA3EHL. They are the only undefeated team remaining in the league, and no other squad is even close to the J.S. Wildcats in goals scored. They have found the net an astonishing 117 times through just 16 games, averaging over seven goals per contest. No other team in the NA3EHL has even reached 80.
The J.S. Wildcats have not been taken to overtime for an entire month. The last time they were brought to extra time was on September 26 against the Lockport Express, the Odessa Jackalopes' affiliate. Since then, they have defeated every opponent they have faced in regulation time.
The 117 goals scored by the J.S. Wildcats lead all of Tier 3 hockey, and forward Jared Karas’ 39 points has him at second in the NA3EHL and fourth in Tier 3 overall. Starting goaltender Scott Albertoni is tied for third in Tier 3 in wins with eight on the season. Through those eight games, Albertoni has sported an impressive 2.05 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.
The success of the J.S. Wildcats is not limited to this season, however. Last year, Jersey Shore earned a phenomenal 40-1-0 record while remaining perfect on the road. They have won 56 of 57 regular season games and defeated the New Hampshire Fighting Spirit in the NA3EHL championship last season.
If the Wichita Falls Wildcats ever find themselves in need of making some call-ups, they should have no shortage of viable options.
